so I am looking for a networkable printer/scanner combo and I don't know where to start. its for home use for several computers so I would like to be able to network it. I don't have a lot to spend but I will pay a little extra to get a little extra. what should I start looking at?

well, I guess networking is not required, I think I remember how to setup network sharing so its no big deal.

How much is a lot? I have the HP photosmart 7180 all-in-one and I love it. It has BT, Ethernet, 802.11b/g, SD/MMC/CF etc, Double sided printing, among other features. It also uses 6 different color cartridges so you only replace the one that runs out and not the whole thing. It runs about $300.

I use it on my network through 802.11G on Vista machines.

Take a look at BestBuy. I also recommend the HP All in One" printers. I've had a Photosmart C6180 does everything I need without chewing all my desk space.
