gotta love that, dont know why I looked at it after 3+ years of use, lol.
my 2D was set at 169MHz core (shaders x2) and 100MHz memory by default, and I put it at 100/100. What this did was lower my GPU from 48 deg C normal temp to ~ 45 deg C.
I hope it wont mess up any video display though (like youtube), otherwise I'm happy. Internet browsing has the same feel.
- what are your temps when surfing the net ?
-
I've got the same NVS 140 and when I've tried 100/100 clocks my system crashed
With fan on minimum level my GPU is between 51-54 C -
^ it should be fine working slower than before. I use RivaTuner to change GPU/memory clocks
my fan is also on the slowest speed, i.e. ~2,600 RPM. -
No Windows here, I've used nvclock under Linux.
-
hehe, nice.
- I think decreasing 2D clocks is a good idea most of the time though ...
P.S.
I can set the fan at full speed and go outside the building to use internet over wireless, I'm sure that will do it as it's kinda chilly right now, LOL.
decreased 2D video clock - that cut 3 deg C off the GPU
