    Howdy,

I own a Dell mini 9 (910), and am thinking about installing a Super Talent 128gb drive. I understand this is a drop-in provided there is no 3g card installed. Am I correct in assuming that by 3g, this would be be an imbedded broadband card? Also, I have bluetooth and wifi cards installed. Would either of these interfere with the install?

    Thanks, Joe

I would go for the RunCore drives. The 128 GB "T" style take up 2 bays, the SSD bay and the WWAN bay,if you have 3G. If you dont have a 3G card, then its not a problem. Dont get it if you do tho. Most Mini 9s were not shipped with the WWAN port soldered on.

Is the WWAN the 3G card? What is the read/write speed on RunCore? Is it SATA or PATA? Why do you recommend the RunCore over the Super Talent? Thanks again, Joe

The RunCore is faster, but im not sure on the exact figures.

A 3G/WWAN (Wireless Wide Area Network) card is "Cell Phone Internet",it is not the same as your WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) card you use to connect to local networks. That card is beside your RAM slot. I think you should pop the bottom off your Mini 9 and you should see what I mean ;)
