I'm a bit unclear what the practical difference would be for gaming (aka MMORPGs), between a laptop display that was 1080i versus 1080p. I know what I (interlaced) and P (progressive) stand for, I'm just utterly unclear on how that would, practically speaking, translate into the game when underway.

thanks in advance for the help!

Okay. The toshiba x505-q8100 says it is a 1920x1080 and "1080i". Assuming that the .pdf file (which came from Toshiba) is accurate -- what does it actually mean?
