how can i know who manufactured the display of my laptop. (i use the lap in my sig). i have used info programs like everest, nhc etc but cant find this info. is there any other tool that i can use to find this. thanx in advance

You can use FreshDiagnose, search it up in Google. One of the tabs/icons on it is for the system display. It will only tell you the part number of the display which you'll then have to search Google again and see if you can find it listed somewhere.

Go to Device Manager > Monitors > Generic PnP Monitor. Then, go to the details tab, select Hardware Ids fom the list and the model of your display will show.

All of these are monitor-specific utilities, and may be better at pulling out the data you're looking for than the big comprehensive utilities like Everest.
EDIT: Failing that, you can always do what I ultimately had to do - open up the case and look at the labels on the backside of the LCD panel itself. -
As a note:
With all the above methods, excluding maybe checking the physical label on the panel, you will have to search the model number given online.
