futureshop's selling a 2gb ram for $34 and i dont know if i should upgrade my laptop or not, so please help.

the following is my laptop spec, if i add a 2gb ram (i gotta take one off first, so 1gb more), will it show a significant increase in speed?

    core 2 duo 5450 1.66
    PC2-5300 DDR2 2GB ram
    8600GT 250mb Nvidia
    120gb 5400rpm harddrive

i play games, only sometimes (2 or 3 times a wk), medium to high graphic ones.
and i have many (not alot) of programs that r running in the background.

so, will the cost worth the upgrade?

    thanks in advance!!!! :D

Absolutely worth it, especially if you are running Vista. Even with XP though it'd still be worth it.

You can't go wrong if you can afford the $37. As mentioned, OS does matter, if XP I doubt you will notice improvement. But it is there if needed and that should be worth $37. If Vista unless you notice issues how can you improve what is not a problem? But with all that logic still buy it can't go wrong.
