anyone knows..thinking of getting new 1080p laptop

Absolutely not..... depends on how the panel is made and what technology is being used. typically IPS panels give good viewing angles.
this is also the wrong place to ask this question. -
Screen resolution is a wholly separate issue from viewing angles. You're going to want to look for a screen with an IPS panel in it (or similar technology) if you want great viewing angles, regardless of resolution.
That said, I'd still recommend going for a high-res display (such as 1080p or higher), as you not only get plenty of screen real estate but high-res displays tend to have better overall specs than low-res displays (better colors, contrast, etc.).indianmessiah likes this. -
I understand Hp has sva and uwsva (IPS) screens in 1080p . Does the sva have good viewing angles?

SVGA, UWSVGA, and the like simply describe resolution (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Display_resolution). Unless the spec sheet specifically says it's an IPS display or some other unusual display, you can safely assume that the display will be some TN type, which only has acceptable viewing angles at best.

Sva and uwsva does not refer to resolution . It's HP naming convention for its displays SvA - Standard viewing angles , UWSVA - ultra Wide viewing angles
What I am asking is does Hp laptop with 1080p SVA has decent viewing angles ?

If you are looking for good viewing angles, MVA and PVA panels are worth a shot as well, aside from IPS. Their viewing angles are second to IPS, but by far superior to classical, budget TN. Contrast and blacks can be better with MVA than with IPS.
In general, as mentioned before, yes, 1080p are better concerning overall characteristics no matter what technology used. -
How do we find out the panel type ?
It's difficult am I right. Usually they state only IPS or TN sometimes they don't even state this.
