    does SSD's save power?

    I've done a reserch and got mixed opinions about this! the thing is my system is currenty have 2 500GB WD scorpio black in raid 0! I want to save some power for more battery life! so will which one will do better for me? SSD or traditional HDD?

    AFAIK, SSD's generally use less power than HDD's. However the main advantages you'll get in addition to power saving are significant speed increase (read/write speeds) as well as reliability (no moving parts).

    SSDs have a rather large impact on battery life, you'd be surprised. Even my battery vampire G73 got a noticeable boost. I'm not saying you'll magically get 1 hour more on a gaming notebook, but now i can at least get three solid hours if i'm careful.
