If I go with a 15" Clevo . I only get 1 Hard drive slot right?
In that case couldn't I put a SSD in the primary, put a 500gb HD in the optical drive, then get a external dvd drive to install windows 7 and other things I need?
will that work? because I rather have a ssd and HDD then a CD ROM drive. I haven't burned a CD or installed anything with a CD in years and games now you don't even need the CD to play anymore. The only thing I would need to do is install windows 7 when I get my laptop

Install windows on SSD, then do the optical to HDD caddy swap unless you want to tweak your installation from the get go to put some things on the HDD while you install it.

I was going to order the laptop with caddy installed and primary HD empty. So I can save a little money. The reason why I wouldn't go your method Tijo is because I don't know if I can go optical to caddy myself lol. ( you definitely have the easier way though)
that's why I was questioning my method lol unfortunately -
Then, i'd make a bootable windows 7 USB drive for installation instead. You can get the iso for win7 here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/win...-digitalriver-windows-7-sp1-13-languages.html.
does this make sense for hard drive config?
