Depends. Do you consider the 9400M + 9600M GT as a dual GPU?

    Or the X3100 + 9800M GT.

But if you mean SLI, no.

Yeah, there aren't any I know of that use dual GPUs in SLI or Crossfire. Sorry.

lol, they barely fit 2 gpu's in 17" notebooks, much less 15"

If there was one though, it would be extremely thick, heavy, and HOT :p

No; I'd imagine that in a few years, it would be feasible with all of the die shrinking going on. So not all hope is lost.

By the time they can fit 2 into a 15" notebook, they'll probably be able to fit 3 or 4 into a 17" one. :D

Hahaha. But by then, 3 or 4 GPU's in a 17" notebook will be nothing against the sextuple-SLI/Crossfire in a desktop.

I think that one big GPU is better than 2-3 because it is so much easier to run and maintain, but that is only my opinion and to me as long as he game is playable I am happy.

The current Alienware M15X has 2. The builtin onboard X3100 and either a 8600M GT, 8700M GT, 8800M GTX, 9800M GT, HD3870. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

this thread outlines why SLi in any computer or laptop is unwize excessive and flawed with out even saying it.

    <_<

Sli is bad.. i hope it dies and goes out of favor again.. simler duel gpu 'expansions' have been peddled to foolish 'enthusiasts' for years now... this recent push seems to be loosing steam thou.

gosh its dumb and a waste of driver/developer teams effort

That was brought up in the second post. Hybrid-SLI doesn't count... ;)

I would disagree with this. SLI and CrossFire now work pretty well in desktops. Optimizations have allowed GPUs to split work up well, without much overhead. Many games are 180+% with 2 identical GPUs (theoretical should be 200% w/o overhead) over 1 GPU.
