    in a dual lamp laptop

such as the asus g2s specifically

is the dual lamp part of the laptop itself?

meaning any lcd you could put in would be dual lamp?

or is it part of the lcd

meaning you could use the lcd from the g2s in a gateway 6831 fx?

Or neither? Is there any data on this?

The lamps are part of the LCD itself, and you need to use it with the appropriate inverter.
