Well I'm considering getting 4gb of ram because I can get Vista 64-bit from my school at a huge discount (under $50 upgrade). The question is:

Will 800mHz ram like THIS work in the BIOS of a dv2500t with the specs below? The 4gb 800mHz ram is only about $10 more expensive than the 4gb 667mHz ram and if I'm gonna spend that much I might as well spend a little more for better performance.

So does the bios limit it to 667? The 667 4gb will still work though, correct?

The 800Mhz will work it will just downclock to 667Mhz. So unless you want for some other reason buy PC5300/5400 @667. The Chipset limits as 965 does not support 800Mhz for memory bus.

Asked for the 257596th time in the past month...don't worry we don't mind answering the same ol' question over and over again. The search button at the top of the page is just there for looks you know...

True that, I guess useless posts asking the same question over and over again is a easy way to get your post count up.

Damn-a-lam... Sorry, but I did, in fact search and after about 10 minutes of searching through processor FSB questions and mis-matching RAM sticks, I figured I'd just ask.n Sorry for taking up a good 20 seconds of your time (Thank you Powerpack for answering quickly and without complaint :D).
