    Hello guys!
I've going to buy a new cheap laptop, the main reason for this is because I don't want to carry my X300 all this time this summer. I did that last summer tou, and I know I'm not taking good enough care. Also, I'm going to a warm country, last summer my GPU had a max temperature of 102C, I still have a screen-shot of it!

Now, I've found dv4-1210eo and dv3610eo. Those are cheap and as I want. But, they both have weak CPU. I still have my DV2500-series Special Edition laptop which I bought about 2 years ago. And, it has T7250. Now, I started up again few weeks back and the result is, DVD-Drive does not work, one of the 'screen holders' (Really hard to describe!) is broken off. And the keyboard is damaged, few keys are missed and top right corner is completely screwed up!
The body has some damages as well.

    1. So back to my main question, can I take the CPU from my dv2500 and change it with dv4-1210eo (T4200) or dv3610eo (T6400) 's? After what I know, this will work, but I just want to make sure.

    2. Is it possible to 'upgrade' the screen for higher resolution?

    (3. Have anyone seen dv4-1210eo in real life? Does it have finger print reader? On HP's side, the it seems like that on picture, but no information. However, one of my friends owns one of the dv3610eo so I'm sure this one have).

Rest of the parts aren't important. The dv4-1210eo has 3G tou, quite cool! I have an SSD drive, so HDD is not a problem. And RAM -modules are quite easy to upgrade and find this days...

I have also an T7500 which I'm using on my ThinkPad. But, if it is not necessary, I would try to avoid to take my ThinkPad apart (I have done that before tou, quite easy compared to my X300).

    Here is also links:

the T7250 is no better than the T6400 so its not a worthwhile upgrade and the T4200 isnt bad either. to be honest unless you are doing CPU intensive stuff a CPU upgrade wont make a difference. even if you are doing cpu intensive stuff theres still little point in an upgrade that small.

if you odnt want to spend a lot you might be able to get a good condition DV2000 series chassis off ebay and transfer your parts across, you might even be able to find one which includes a working DVD drive

This was not what I asked for. I know which is better or not, and I'm going to trash T7250 anyway!
Again, my question was if it would work...
    Nah, too much work.

the T7250 should work in place of the T6400 although its a pointless upgrade
