dv5000t uses DDR2 533 SDRAM. How to upgrade to 667 card? How powerful is 667 in comparison to 533& how effective it is?

Its very easy to upgrade your ram. Using a program like CPU-Z find out how much memory ytou have installed and if you have an extra slot open.

DDR2-667 will be a bit faster than the ddr2-533 in the laptop and should help give your laptop a little push since the intel duo core in there runs at a fsb of 667.
