    dv6500tse screen dimming problems

    Hello i recently got this laptop just last friday the 8th and it has a weird problem. For starts i know about theas laptops i had a dv6000z before this but it had a motherboard failure and HP was takeing to long so they offerd to send me a new notebook free of charge. In my old laptop i could press FN and F7 or F8 to brighten or dim the screen well in this laptop its not working and yes i know the screen it self does dim because if i put the laptop on power save and unplug it it will dim the screen down but i cant do it my self. also following this did they change the sound of the touch sensitive media buttons from a beep to more of a little click because i liked the beep 100 times more it eas easier to hear

    my system specs are
    T5250
    2gb ddr2 memory
    nvidia 8400mgs
    160 gb hard drive
    vista home premium ( vista dosent suck at all )
