    dv9000 motherboard upgrade

    i have a dv9420ca and i am going to put a different amd motherboard with dedicated vram (it can be done as long as i buy the gpu heat sink)

    i cant seam to find any info on a motherboard with 512mb dedicated vram (hp part no.)

    has anyone else tried this yet?

    edit:im thinking about this one 441534-001 it has go-7600 256mb but im not sure if its wxga+ or wsxga+, i need wxga+

    Sometimes (most of the time) notebook boards upgrade would require other parts such as LCD to go with it. This, of course, takes in consideration that the casing accommodates the new board.

    Well if the motherboard is from the same model, he should have no problems to put it in... sorry mate can't help with finding the model number...
