I am looking for an eSATA external hard drive. The drive must also use USB 2.0 compatible.
Are there any of these drives out there with the 'Onetouch' back-up feature?
I am looking for anything over 320GB and it would be a bonus if it was portable. I really need the 'Onetouch' backup feature or something of equivalence.
    Any suggestions are much appreciated.
    Thanks

I have five 1TB Seagate ES.2's each in their own Antec MX-1 enclosure. If you want a nice enclosure that will keep your HDD cool and protected from vibration, get the MX-1.

I'm looking for an external hard drive as well but didn't want to start a new topic for the same question. I want 1TB and I figure the best way to go about it is an internal HDD with an enclosure.

I'm thinking of buying this Western Digital since everyone seems to be so happy with them.

A couple people have already recommended the Antec MX-1. I don't know anything about enclosures, but this Rosewill got good reviews on newegg and is slightly cheaper. Any advice on which would be a better choice? Also, any alternatives for either a different HDD or enclosure I haven't considered?

Do you want a drive with both USB and eSata or connect from USB to eSata?

Doing USB to eSATA is the same as USB to USB since the USB will be the bottleneck.

Will this mean if I use USB to eSATA, the eSATA External HD speed will lowered down due to the stupid bottleneck of USB?
So, are you suggest to connect the eSATA into your laptop using the HDD empty slot?

If you have an eSATA connection on the enclosure/external, and only USB 2.0 on the computer, you're not going to see any difference. The USB interface on your computer will rape any speed benefits you might have gotten.

eSATA-to-eSATA is a completely different story, though.

Hey everyone thanks for the suggestions. I am not really looking for an enclosure but just a regular external hard drive. It has to have eSATA to eSATA and also USB 2.0 compatibility. I still cant seem to find any with a "Onetouch" backup or anything similar to that. I am lazy and would like to just press one button to back up my stuff ;)

Western Digital's My Book Home edition is a good choice. I'm currently using one.
