Is ASUS still the only notebook manufacturer that includes an eSATA port?

If so, I don't understand that. Notebooks already include the SATA chipset, and adding an external port can't cost more than a couple bucks. And it is the best thing possible for big fast external data storage!

For those who have an ExpressCard eSATA dongle, what kind of transfer rates do you get? I get 80MB/sec with my ASUS built-in to a SATA-II drive. Much faster than 27MB/sec USB 2.

Also, I don't believe you can boot from the ExpressCard connections. I can boot from eSATA on my ASUS.

Normally, ASUS would be enough for me, but I want my next laptop to have a good ATI graphics chipset now that ATI is opening their specifications. And I think ASUS only uses nVidia. So I desperately want my next laptop to have built in eSATA and ATI. :) Oh, and a 17" screen.
