Is this port an eSatap connection? (the one provides both power and data with 1 input). Because I'm planning to upgrade my old computer's hdd to ssd but i would need more space than what the ssd provides. Can't find drive caddy that's a reasonable price for this old laptop. (HP dv4-1435dx) thanks for anyone help.

Looks like eSATAp. It has the extra notches in the bottom corners.

Okay thanks. So i can use eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices and put in my old HDD and able to use it as an external then?
-
From that listing... yes, you can.
eSATAp enclosures are still hard to find and/or pricey. I paid $30 for mine. I'm not sure how I feel about a silicone cover as the only protection for a bare HDD, but if it works then it works, eh? -
can you give me a link on what enclosure you're using?

Looks like it's gone down in price:
