I have 2 supposedly identical ei 4113 ' s bought at the same time and place.
They are left on all the time without batteries.
One becomes very hot with the fan blowing, the other not.
    Both run WIN XP

    Any ideas why?

    TIA

If they are running exactly the same hardware and O/S, apps and A/V installs with no malware/viruses on both, then the 'hot' one probably needs the cpu/gpu repasted.

How good are you at taking the computer apart and applying thermal compound?

(While you have it apart, see how dusty it is and clean/blow it out too).

    Good luck.
