my laptop used to show error reports or messages before, on startup,
when it used to shut down unexpectedly or get a bluescreen or something but now it doesnt.
does anyone know how to get those messages back?...
and my laptop has started to freeze or hang....nowadays....it happens when i watch a movie....listen to songs....or sometimes when im not doing anything..
the mouse stops moving....and even alt+ctrl+del wont work....all i can do is restart manually....
i had one of the rams changed a few months before...due to bluescreen errors ...and then it was fine....but now it has this freezing problem..
    can anyone help me?
its a toshiba satellite A135...windows vista

    did you check event viewer?
Is the hard disk light on the whole time it freezes? It could be a defective hard drive. Run manufacturer diagnostics.
I would still test memory using memtest86

I'm thinking it's an application/driver issue causing the freezing...it can however be a hardware issue as well. Nevertheless...you can access Event Viewer by clicking Start and typing event viewer in the search box. Expand the Application/System Logs and look for errors w/ red Xs. They should give you some idea as to what is causing the issue.
