    are graphics cards put in expansion slots.
    i know its a noob question. but I'm on this fourm to learn.

    No, they aren't. 99% of graphics cards are soldered to your motherboard.

    so than is there any way at all to upg an intigrated graphics card.

    what laptop do you have?
    It may be possible, but most likely not.
    If its an intel graphics card, you cant upgrade period.

    They have made some but they just don't work well. Not enough throughput. The PCIe x16 is about 4GB's and that works and is the standard. Now on to the expansion slots Express Card USB mode 60MB/s PCI Express mode 250MB/s USB 2.0 is 60MB/s Firewire 1394 is 49MB/s simply not enough to deliver the performance.

    No you cannot upgrade an IGP.
