did i spell that right? oh well. anywho, as everyone is waiting for the big release of the new laptop platform, does anyone know of any other laptops expected to be released with this, or any expected redo's on current laptops?
As far as i know myself, i only have confirmation that the new Clevo TU 15.4inch laptop will use this and of course the MACBOOK PRO's when it is released.

I know the Latitude E's will be coming out with Montevina, most others will just be getting a refresh probably.

^a G R E E !

i am pretty sure that most companies will be anouncing new laptops in the up coming months. i am more then certain that both dell and lenovo will have new laptops coming out june to september
-
it would be nice to see the AW do some now, but i doubt they wil. I need a new laptop next month, so if nothing else comes out that takes my fancy, then TU it is.

I'm hoping Gateway puts an ATI HD 2400XT in their C series tablets. The x2300 HD just ain't enough to make me want to buy it yet.
Hopefully they will do something once Montevina hits. -
man, thi seems like a REALLY bad time for a person to buy a laptop.
for me i is anyways. i cant settle for second grade technology and i need my laptop by next month. it sems bad to only have the M860TU as a choice. hope its a good build. -
At least for Dell I would expect them to release new models. The other companies I don't follow as much. Apple I know there are a lot of rumors about the Macbooks and Pros getting redesigned.

I just bought my wife an iMac... and after using and seeing it in action, I am SERIOUSLY impressed with it's speed, considering it's minor / mainstream specs AND the fact that it is SOOOO easy to use... the O/S is really outstanding and intuitive for being a variation of Linux. (I've tried to install other forms of Linux such as Debian and Mandrake to just be very disappointed in them.)
I was seriously considering a Macbook as a desktop replacement until I found out they don't have dedicated video cards. And I'm not so in love with Mac that I'm going to pay $2000+ for a Macbook Pro.
Another thing... they are GORGEOUS to look at. -
I think all the major brands are switching to Montevia except Alienware.
-
very bad move on their part then
-
I'd like to see a source about who says Alienware won't upgrade their line to Montevina shortly.

-
not here in europe. americans like to treat people under the EU flag like cavemen. just like they kill us on overcharged pc component prices.
