Just checking before i do this although cant see any problems.
im going to take the standard hdd that came with my m1330 (160, 5400rpm) piece of crap out and replace it with the 320gb raptor. i want to put the old hdd in an enclosure and run it as an external for a few mp3's at work.

    is this enclosure ok?

    Enclosure's compatibility with Vista ?
And are you serious about installing a Raptor in the M1330 ?
(Or are you referring to the 320GB 7200RPM ?)

Problem with some 7200rpm drives is the amount of power needed at startup is more than the rated output of 2-USB ports (1A). So it may or may not work, it depends on what the drive needs to start up with.

The piture shows that it has to be plugged into the mains to work so it souldn't have a problem when running. And there should be no compatability issues, because I have done the same thing with a 7 year old 40GB harddrive without any problems so it should work flawlessly.

    :)
