    Anyone tried this? Looks like this guy got pretty good results. Wondering about the speed of the minipcie port bottlenecking and how many laptops come with 2 minipcie ports.

    I know with my older P79 it has a PCI-e but it is only 1 lane. Even with that it seems capped on speed. My guess is to have 2 PCI-e ports is rare.

    2 mPCI-E is indeed rare, most often seen on notebooks with both wi-fi and a cellular data card as well. Some business notebooks may even come with 3. My M6700 did come with quite a few mPCI-E. The mPCI-E slots are usually 1x although I think (don't quote me on this) some may be up to 4x.
