    Hi I have a Sony FE-590 runnind XP SP2, I recently baught a external hard drive and when its plugged in the touchpad only works for half a second then wont work for 5 or 6 seconds then will move for another half a second, If i unplug the hard drive the problem continues until I restart the laptop but as soon as i plug the hard drive in again it starts, it does not affect the keyboard only the touchpad, any suggestions?
