Hi guys, not sure if this is the best forums to post this, but I've gotten great answers here in the past so I'll give it a try.

I have a Lacie 500GB external HD that I use to store Family pics, movies etc. It was connected to my desktop (Windows XP) and when I recently connected it to my Laptop (Vista64) it said that I didn't have sufficient permissions to access it. So I went in the options/security and checked all blocks (the one that applies to all subfolders and files) and hit apply and I got an error code that the settings could not be applied to all folders. I have to go to each individual file and change its security settings to gain access to them. Did a virus check, nothing found. Cannot do a diskcheck cause it will not access it. So I'm clueless, and no idea what to do. If the wife finds out I cannot access our family pics, I'll never hear the end of told you so. Any help is appreciated.
