I currently have a 19 inch LCD monitor with a max resolution of 1280 x 1024. I am thinking of hooking it up to my Asus G1S when it arrives. what do the individuals on this forum feel about this since the lcd display on the G1S has a higher resolution. should i buy a larger display that supports a higher resolution or will my current display be sufficient for playing games such as STALKER and crysis when it is released. My current display is a Hyundai LD90+. I would welcome all of your input on this

    thanks in advance

1280x1024 should be fine for gaming, but FPS games come into their own once you play them widescreen, so I'd definitely go for a new monitor. I'd be looking at a 20-22" widescreen myself.

Most widescreens in the 20-22" region, have resolutions of 1680 x 1050. The G1S has an 8600M GT, and that sort of resolution may not be liked by the graphics card, in terms of performance. If it turns out, that performanc isn't great with a high resolution, then you may need to run the monitor, at a lowr resoltuon, which could affect picture clarity.
