I just got a new samsung 2253BW monitor, but I seem to be unable to get it to display the resolution correctly. It works properly in Ubuntu but it wont work properly in XP.

When I set it to display 1680x1050 it can (kind of), but part of it is off the screen. I can only see 1440x900 (my laptop screens resolution) out of the full 1680x1050 on the screen at one time. I can move the mouse to the edge of the screen to see what is over there but then it just pans the display around and I can't see the full 1680x1050 on the screen at one time.

    any ideas?

EDIT: nevermind, I somehow got it by doing nothing different than what I was trying.. guess it needed to be fiddled around with for a certain amount of time
