Any thoughts on Seagate vs Simpletech for their (pocket-sized) external USB hard drives? The Seagate (up to 160 G) is 10 ounces, the Simpletech (up to 100 G) is 3 ounces. Dependability? Durability?

Seagate is a world leader in hard drives. I would get the Seagate, even though its heavier.

Definately segate, think about when buying RAM you always stick to the known brands so do the same for HD's.

OK, I guess I knew that function would win out over form. It's just that the fewer extra ounces and the slick Italian design on Simpletech are both seductive! Thanks to you both.

Seagate also give you 5 years warranty, it is better than another brand name which give the users for 3 years warranty.
