hey everyone, I have this old vaio and the hard drive has a LOT of bad sectors. Not planning to get a new drive, I want to mark ALL the bad sectors, but the problem is I don't know whether these bad sectors are software or physically related. Therefore if I reformat, the OS might be installed in a bad sector. Is there any way to mark ALL bad sectors(both software and phyiscally related ones) before I reformat the drive? If not, please let me know a solution to reformat without putting data onto bad sectors. Thank you. :)

Why even bother wasting time? The drive is dead. Just buy a new one. You dont have $30???
