Okay, so if you disreguard the Turbo Memory benches, Santa Rosa & Napa are quite similar in performance (although SR had an edge due to it's higher clock).

how was it not apples to apples? i think apart from the CPU, motherboard and graphics card, it was as apples to apples as one can get lol but yeah a 100% compliance there wouldve meant comparing santa rosa to santa rosa which wouldnt exactly help.
turbo memory would mimic a USB flash drive eh wonder when we will see this feature in the mainstream, think ive only heard it was on the lenovo now
I dont think we shouldve expected a performance jump but maybe what they couldve done is also benchmark it with DDR800 installed as well so we can see if using faster memory made more than 4% -
Thanks for sharing the link.

It is indeed a disappointment.I bet intel would discontinue NAPA soon to force the new platform down people's throats.

well you do have a point but the results are very specific in not using the gpu or battery times for comparison as they had mentioned. they simply pitted the CPUs as best as they could by using CPU specific benchmarks. the only result that might not be 100% accurate is the power consumption tests but here they took the averages in the hopes of evening them out. so while these are different notebooks, the tests they ran compare specific components that are similar rather than the notebooks as a whole. so in that aspect it is apples to apples but as notebooks theyre still apples just different colors and sizes hehe

bad bad world

It doesnt really matter to me.. i was just waiting for the new GPUs..

Well,that doesnt look quite right..
As they said it might be new bios, whoops,EFI issues..
first review of Intel Santa Rosa is here
