    Hi,
I have a Dell InspironE1505 with an Hd 7.200 and I need an ext storage device
to edit audio files (adobe audition 2.0). Till now I've used a 2gb flash pen and
I'm thinkin' about an ext-hd 7.200. Can I expect substantial improvments or not ? I was searching online articles about performances comparison tests between this 2 solutions (flash memories/cards/Hd), but it seems nobody cares about. Do you have any suggests ?

    Thanks in advance.

A HD is still faster than a pen, but keep in mind that an USB interface eats up CPU time.

If you can, edit on your internal HD and copy to an external drive once you have the final file.
