    gm40 800mhz or 1066mhz???

    Hi my laptop is a compaq cq61-402sa, i have read a few threads but cant seem to get a conclusive answear, im wanting to upgrade the celeron 900 2.20ghz to a better cpu the board is a gm40 but can it only surport penryn 800mhz or will it surport 1066mhz, my bios is insyde version-F20 10/13/2009 any help would help out alot, im bidding on t7500 is this any good seems ok i have compared it to a t9300 and not much of a difference

    You cant use 1066mhz FSB, no way. t7500 will probably work though, its literally 2x the celeron.

    If you want something that runs cooler though, you should go with a t6, 8 or 9 series.
