I am going to assume that we all know what an xbox 360 is? If you don't you arent gonna help lol. okay Im going to send you links for everything. I purchased #1.
# 1 Y adapter http://www.radioshack.com/product/i...+stereo+adapter&support=support&tab=techSpecs.
#2 Xbox 360 VGA adapter
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=40681
#3 Monitor
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824155056&Tpk=kds+26%22
#4 Speakers
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836113008
I will only plug in the VGA cable from the cables (#2) into the monitor (#3) because there is no where to put the audio cables. I will then take the Y adapter (#1) and plug it into the input port of the speakers (#4). I will then take the two audio cables from the cables (#2) and proceed two plug that into the two ports that are open in the Y-adapter (#1)
another picture explanation look at it with instructions...

Will this work?

You don't really need the Y adaptor for the speakers, if those are stand alone speakers with phono inputs. If those are the speakers on the monitor, then you will need a phono to 3.5mm adaptor, which is the one you have linked to, but not the one in the big picture.

ummm can you be a little more clear, i didnt get a word of what u said.

He said don't post the same topic in multiple forums.
As for your diagram, it will work fine. Just make sure to set the resolution in the XBOX dashboard settings (video section) to 1080p or 720p or whatever the maximum resolution of the monitor is. Try and raise the black level setting too.
It'll work, I do exactly that with my computer monitor and xbox. Though I have the audio out going into a pair of headphones. -
Calm down, Coolioguy,
Yes, that system you have their will work.
Just to mention, be cautious about that "Y" adaptor.
Read the back of the packaging before purchasing.
SOme of them split the audio, so that one port is for the left ear, and the other for the right ear.
You just want a standard splitter, not one which splits the physical audio bits.
These were used for older headphones, and such. It is beyond me why radio shack carries them.
Just make sure you are getting the right ones.

so that isnt the one I want? I need to get a differenet model?
-
Just make sure its an audio multiplier, not a left to right ear audio splitter.
K-TRON -
