i plan on purchasing the dv8125nr.

the thing that really lacks is the fact that it only has 512mb ram.

the ram speed is only 333mhz.

i wanted to swap this out with some decent ram that is priced right and quality assured and faster.

    can anyone recommend anything.

    i want 1gb.

    thanks

I'd start with Crucial, to make sure you know what to get for that model, then compare them to Kingston, Kingmax or Corsair. You should check NewEgg and ZipZoomFly, amongst others. Avoid house brands.

Crucial, Corsair, Kingston - all make good reliable RAM. The dv8125nr should be capable of RAM upto DDR400.

I recommend Crucial, they have been very reliable from my experience. You can get RAM online from newegg, mwave or zipzoomfly. All three have decent prices for DDR memory.

I put two Crucial 1GB PC3200 SODIMMs from mwave.com in my dv8125nr. They work perfectly.
