The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    ok i need som things clearing up before i buy a laptop. which of these are better at running new a big games,
    the NVidia GeForce 8600M GT DDR3 256MB
    or
    the ATI Radeon X1700
    i am probaly being really stupid but a need it clearing up

    It performs better than the X1600 and 7600 by a fair margin, and the X1700 is about as powerful as the X1600.
