I've read the "Guide to New Laptop Inspection...and Beyond!" and it talks about memory testing and hard drive testing (actually, can anyone elaborate on what I should do with HD tune since it's not mentioned in the guide?).

But it doesn't mention gpu testing. Is there a program or anything I should do to test the gpu on my new dv5t?

    Thanks!

    *edit*
Same with the cpu. Is there anything I should be doing to test the cpu of my new computer?

You can just run a 3DMark program to test both, and or run a program such as Orthos to test the CPU and Mem with a pretty serious load. Both of these programs are typically used to test stability of these hardware components.
