    graphics upgrade possible on Thinkpad T500?

    Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card in the t500? if so with what card?

    Unfortunately, for the most part, you're stuck with what you got when you got it. The graphics card is soldiered directly to the motherboard, so replacement would be just about impossible. In theory, with lots of soldiering, and if you were able to actually find and buy a physically compatible GPU, it may be feasible, but for all intents and purposes, no.

    The one exception is if you have the integrated Intel and want to go to the ATI 3650 (offered as an upgrade when purchasing). In that case, you can buy another motherboard with the ATI GPU and swap them, but that won't be cost-effective at all...

    If only they would improve more the upgrade ability of laptops in the future just like desktop PCs, it really be a big thumbs up for laptop enthusiasts...
