If the drive is making the loud clicking costant on and off that means it is on its way out and you should backup your data before it completely dies on you. Swap head there is no way you can do that without a clean room environment to begin doing that and most people can't do that. I highly doubt you were able to do that unless there is a business to do that for you and even then they will charge high prices to do so. So backup you data and get a new drive.

how old is the hard drive and is it covered by warranty.
youve swapped the head. what do you mean, have you opened up the hard drive?
spindle drive can click a lot which is the arm parking.
can you use the drive after its stopped clicking. if you can you need to run a sector scan as it sounds like its a bad drive.
use HD Tune and run a sector scan.

I'm with StormJumper on this one. If the drive gives off a constant clicking while spinning, then stops spinning, its usually a hardware failure. You said you replaced the drive headers, so that would leave the platter or controller. Either way, make funeral arrangements.
