Hi everyone I am currently having a problem trying to initialize and format an existing hard drive which i had pulled from my laptop.I can see the drive under device manager but not under disk management .I have tried using different usb cases in case the issue was cable or controller on the case,, i also tried to access the drive directly.. by placing the drive back into the laptop.. but now for some reason my password i use does not work and i am locked out by the bios when i try to mount the drive..

Does any one have an idea that may help me out.... thanks

Hi, what laptop ? Bios PW, or disk PW, or both or what?

(If by any chance it's a HP DriveLock password that's lost, your drive is in practice garbage only afaik (or maybe send it to the FBI to work on for a few months).
