    hi all and thanks for lookin hears my problem:

    i have a old e system laptop i have upped the ram to 1 gb but now i have run out of hd space (40gb) on a good note i have a spare hd (120gb) but this is where i get stuck - is it possible to put all my stuff including windows xp on to the other drive (currently got vista on it) like a mirror copy so it would be plug and play and i would still have all my pics and music etc?? any help will be greatly receved

    Download the Acronis True Image trial and a way to access/use the spare (empty) 120GB HD at the same time is all you need. (To use/access the 2nd drive: a usb drive enclosure or similar).

    thats great cheers i heard about chinese plugs that make the hd usb. i take it these work ok??

    who knows about doing the above i have the new drive plugged in and formatted but the operation keeps failing almost straight away could it be the usb / sata conector i bought or could it be that the first partition on my drive is fat32 and the second one is ntfs

    can anyone shed some light on this please i am useing acronis true image then clone disk function? is this right?
