i have had a lot of trouble finding anything, though i know it exists.
it seems to be on the border between hardware and cable type stuff to branded "product" type things if you know what i mean.
i JUST want the interface, such as a ddr to usb converter. google comes up with dance game stuff lol
im aware that these require a battery to keep it running, and thats probably why theyre so unpopular. but i just cant find ANYthing.
thanks.

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
99.99% sure that a hardware ramdisk specifically for laptops doesn't exist. 99.99% sure a direct memory to USB device doesn't exist either.
You could get a desktop ramdisk device and hook that up to a SATA/USB adapter, but either way you'd be limited by the slow-as-hell USB interface. -

did some research...
check this out: http://www.amamax.com/acaan2safldi.html
looks like that would be the .01%
i guess its not quite a ramdisk. i would seriously consider getting one of these. seems like it could go up 192gb!
does anyone have any experience with one of these drives, and how fast it is?
cheapest way otherwise would probably be expresscard
its not at all worth it in the end unless some of those ramdisks get cheaper. considering 8gb is kinda the limit
