    hardware or software?

    i dont know if my vga out put is malfunctioning or if my software is not working.the image from my vga doesnt translate to my external monitor it detects it but the image doesnt appear any ideas?

    How does it detect it? Did you try pressing FN+F8?

    of course it was the first thing i did i also try manual but it doent work

    by detecting i mean that when i check the options of monitors it appears but it doesnt translate the image

    Hmmm, Interesting. Are the latest drivers installed? The FN+F8 function should toggle to external and internal without much software conflict so that seems like either a bad VGA cable, or a bad VGA output. I assume the LCD works fine on another computer?

    yep i got lasted drivers and yes the vga is tested to work since i use it all the time with other computers so i guess its a bad vga output
