    hdmi discrete mode only support?

    the laptop in question is the asus u3s. its listed on the asus website to have an hdmi out port, but in brackets, it says "only discrete mode support"? anybody have a clue as to what that means? only does video?

    i havent checkd on the site but im guessing they also do that notebook with intergrated graphics and the hdmi is only available on discrete graphics, hope this helps

    I think what Asus is trying to say is that if you have an integrated video card like the GMA X3100. But the notebook that you linked has a discrete video card so it will have a HDMI port.
