    help Acer Aspire 3002LC Ram upgrade question?

    my acer aspire had Samsung 256 DDR SODIMM memory installed when i got it from the market. I went to the computer shop and got a TwinMos PC2700(CL:2.5) DDR SODIMM. When i tried installing it with or without the samsung DDR RAM already in the notebook, the notebook doesnt boot. The monitor turns black.please help which kind of Ram do i need to upgrade my ram

    the processor inside is AMD Mobile Semprom 1800+

    That effect is typical of bad memory. Try installing another one and see if it boots up. Also Twinmos is not really reliable brand for RAM. Try getting either Crucial, Kingston, OCZ or Corsair.

    When I had my 3003(similar specs to the 3002), I used a 200pin 1GB PC2700 DDR Crucial RAM without any issues.

    I recommend you to buy NOVATECH MEMORY (made in argentina). I recently added 512mb of novatech (coexisting with the factory original INFINEON memory), and it worked fine. I've run lots of tests, and there were no problems at all. Now my lap works much faster.
