    Answer: Buy a new hard drive.

    its not all the time ido escan and its good
    then when the pc lags i do rescan it says bad
    is that virus or something cause if that hardware problem this is will be sad cause the pc is new

    If it's a new computer, why don't you do an RMA on the computer with whomever you bought it from?

    Anyway, that's your best option. That or just buy a new drive, like Commander Wolf stated. If the drive is still working fine (boots up correctly, functions normally, etc) and you don't want (or can't) replace the drive or RMA, I'd just use the drive as is and just do regular backups in case something does in fact happen.

    No, this is definitely a hardware issue.

    Unless it's "good" and always "good" the drive is basically hosed.
