I am trying to decied between two 20" lcds, they are:
20" SyncMaster
HDCP support
# Pixel pitch: 0.258
# Brightness: 300 cd/m2
# Contrast ratio: 700:1
# Response time: 6ms
# Interface: Analog/Digital
# Maximum resolution: 1680 x 1050
# Color supported: 16.7 million
and
Sceptre 20"
# Resolution: 1680 x 1050
# Pixel Pitch: 0.25mm
# Brightness: 300nit cd/m²
# Contrast Ratio: 800:1
# Output Color: 16.7 million colors

The sceptre is about $50 cheaper, the biggest question is HDCP support needed now? Which one shoud i pick
-Thanks-

why don't you take a look at the 20"widescreen LCD from Viewsonic ,the one that tomshardware was talking about
I think its pretty decent and cheap for its size -
Viewsonic and samsung make great monitors. I'd stay away from sceptre

The Viewsonic that El-Prodigy was referring to is the vx2025wm, an excellent monitor for the money.
I wouldn't call HDCP essential right now, since it's not going to be usable until Vista debuts sometime next year, and then only if you're planning on playing back DRM protected high definition video. By then, dongles will be readily available that will convince a HDCP enabled device that it's talking to a HDCP enabled display anyway. -
I have the vx2025vm, I got it a few weeks ago for my dorm room that I'll be moving into, and it is simply stunning.

Thanks guys, if I would have read this before this morning when i bought the sceptre, on newegg was 289 with a 30 rebate and free shipping, I would have gone with the Viewsonic, it has the same specs but i would have liked to get the better brand. Thanks for the suggestions. I have my fingers crossed that i got a good LCD. I read some good things in some other forums about the sceptre, but we'll see
help me pick a LCD
