    I have pcg315m

    for the last one year i am not able to use its dvd-rw for writing anything as it wont work and similarly it doesnt read the cd's burnt on other pc's.
    I dont know what to do #??????????

    please help me out

    it sounds like a hardware defect that you wouldn't be able to fix on your own. you may be able to either get a replacement drive from sony or a warehouse that sells sony parts. or, if they have similar form, you can get a slim dvd-rw drive from a place like newegg.

    Use DVD+R for better compatibiilty. Almost any dvd writer has problems with -Rs.
    Do not burn multisessions, originally DVD's were not supposed to support it and this is why some work, others don't.
