    i have a toshiba satellite a-105s2061 i need to buy more ram for it i know it needs a ddr2 pc4200 but i dont know if ddr2 pc4200 is that all i can use whats the diff in pc4200 and the other ddr2 pc??00 plseas help me out and one more thing when i get the ram and i put it in do i have to do any thing or just plug it in and go so any help will be good thanks ratt79

    The exact ram you are after is a DDR2 PC5300 667mhz 200pin laptop RAM. How much depends on the maximum your PC can take or how much you want. Refer to your service manual for this.

    Difference between PC-xxxx is the speed of the RAM, but as long as its DDR2 it will work.

    Brand doesnt matter as they all perform fairly the same. Just make sure you buy a known brand with a decent warranty term.

    RAM is plug and play. Installation is usually straight forward, requiring you to open a compartment underneath your notebook.

    so on the toshiba web site it tell me a max of 2gig so is that 2 gig per slot or the total for both slots

    Maximum 2GB means 2GB total; 1GB per slot, or possibly 2GB in one slot and the other slot empty.
