I usually buy at the crucial site.
Always been right on.
They are NOT showing yours as DDR2
http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Satellite A105-S2061&pl=Toshiba&cat=RAM
Looks very expensive compared to DDR2
They also have good tuts there -
The exact ram you are after is a DDR2 PC5300 667mhz 200pin laptop RAM. How much depends on the maximum your PC can take or how much you want. Refer to your service manual for this.
Difference between PC-xxxx is the speed of the RAM, but as long as its DDR2 it will work.
Brand doesnt matter as they all perform fairly the same. Just make sure you buy a known brand with a decent warranty term.
RAM is plug and play. Installation is usually straight forward, requiring you to open a compartment underneath your notebook. -

Maximum 2GB means 2GB total; 1GB per slot, or possibly 2GB in one slot and the other slot empty.
